Britt van Dam

After a lifetime surrounded by art - from growing up in a shop full of art supplies and a bustling course space, to my work as a video producer and co-owner of Museumfoto, where I designed costumes and built sets - I founded B-Silk in 2019.

In the beginning, I did not yet know exactly what form the company would take. The original idea was to give silk painting courses, but through unexpected encounters, new collaborations, and a healthy dose of curiosity, B-Silk grew into a versitile creative practice.

Today, B-Silk stands for personality, creativity, customization, and special engagement. I work in an all-round capacity: from art education and workshops to textils, painting, playful formats, and community projects. What connects all my work is my love for collaboration - with colleagues, schools, cultural partners, and children.

I believe that creativity arises in encounter: by making, discovering, and playing together. That is exactly what I want to continue doining with B-Silk.
