Thirty years ago I was a ten-year-old gretel. At that time my mother had an artshop, called ''t kleine Ambachtshuys', in which, in addition to selling materials to artists, she also gave courses, including painting on silk. As a child I liked to participate. Concentrated, I drew serti lines over the silk fabric and then colored it with liquid silk paint. This has resulted in wonderful memories about the process of painting on silk that I now like to pass on during the workshops in turn.

The amount of techniques you can use to process the silk fabric, but also being able to apply the processed fabric makes painting on silk so unique and interesting to me.
